Bradley Beal, the Wizards' newly-paid star guard was held out of training camp in Richmond, Va., on Thursday due to a mild concussion he sustained the day prior, according to CSN Wiszards' Insider J. Michael.

The 23-year-old shooting guard entered training camp with a clean bill of health and a $128-million contract, but accidently hit in the head by center Ian Mahinmi during a drill on Wednesday.

The injury is not thought to be serious according to J. Michael, but Beal is being held out of Thursday training camp as a precaution.

The Wizards open preseason play on Tuesday, Oct. 4 against the Miami Heat, and will be broadcast on CSN Mid-Atlantic.
