Gilbert Arenas lists LeBron James' 'weaknesses' on Instagram

"Come at the King, you best not miss" -- Words to live by on The Wire, but not on Gilbert Arenas' Instagram page, apparently.

The former Wizard posted a photo of LeBron James Thursday. The 398-word caption explains why, in Arenas' opinion, the Cavs star will never be the greatest NBA player of all time. See for youself, it's a doozy.

KINGJAMES.....this person comes around once in a blue moon...a man whos so physically gifted he could walk into any sport and be a HOF'ER off his natural (God given ability) last person who was this gifted in sports might have been #BOJackson...LET'S take away EVERY STAT and start from scratch..#NATURAL gifts...6-8..275..44 inch vert...once at top speed can't be stopped...vision like magic johnson..a natural #LEFTY who plays basketball as a righty....him stepping on a nba floor with no effort stats are 25 6 7...now his WEAKNESSES he had to work on to be the G.O.A.T...James is more like a train then a cheetah in movement.. his first 2 steps aren't very powerful so this hurt him on iso's and the ability to blow pass players from standstill position...hints why he's at the point he needs to be moving at all time so when he decides to attack he's already in full motion...he doesnt change direction well becuz he doesn't bend much he plays str8 up and down like #jkidd did which limits him from cross overs and spinning...James isn't a #1 option..and yes I (didn't stutter) he lacks #selfishness so he will always need a go to guy like wade was or kyrie.. he lacks what jordan and kobe were..great 1 on 1 players... he needs a pure scorer beside him so he can carry the TEAM load...he gets bashed alot by media becuz he doesn't take over like #MJ or #KB but #LBJ is MAGIC with Jordan like athleticism..so he walks into stats without trying and when forced he will give u 41 12 8...the finals was the first time in his career he was physically pushed to the limit becuz he had no one to defur to...when players like magic,Barkley and analysis bash him I cringe...like u ppl have no idea what he could do if he had (1) season just 1 selfish season like kobe did in 2005-06 he will avg 40+ 11 9 and no one could do shit about it...it's sad the world wont get to see Who I'm talking about becuz his legacy is built on winning...if u doubt what I'm saying..look at every game he was pissed off and was challenged....this man could be the second best 3rd for sure player to ever play when it's all said and done around 2020+and he didn't even tap into his ability to be GREATEST..

He prefaces the mini manifesto with praise of James' strengths before getting into his weaknesses [all sic]:

• "James is more like a train then a cheetah in movement"

• "James isn't a #1 option..and yes I (didn't stutter) he lacks #selfishness so he will always need a go to guy like wade was or kyrie"

• "he lacks what jordan and kobe were..great 1 on 1 players"

• "if he had (1) season just 1 selfish season like kobe did in 2005-06 he will avg 40+ 11 9 and no one could do shit about it..."

The argument is one that James' critics have long leaned on: He's unable and/or unwilling to play to his maximum abilities, take over games and chase stats, so he'll never rise to the level of greatest of all time, even if he has the physical tools to do so.

In the last line, Arenas faults the King for prioritizing winning over #selfishness -- an accusation never leveled at Agent Zero.

Forget for a minute that no one asked Arenas for his opinion on James, that Arenas washed out of the league while James has won two titles in five straight trips ... and that James may have caused Arenas to miss two free throws to lose an overtime Game 6 against the Cavaliers in the 2006 playoffs.

All things aside, does the former Wizard have a point?

Eh, probably not.

Wizards set introductory press conference for Dwight Howard

Wizards team president Ernie Grunfeld has stayed relatively busy this summer crafting his new-look lineup for the 2018-19 season.

One of the team's key additions, Dwight Howard, is set to be introduced as a member of the Wizards on Monday.

NBC Sports Washington will air the introductory press conference live at 1 p.m. while also streaming it online.

Ernie Grunfeld and head coach Scott Brooks are both expected to be in attendance.

The 32-year-old big man is coming off a 2017-18 season with the Charlotte Hornets in which he averaged 16.6 points and 12.5 rebounds per game.

Since leaving the Orlando Magic after eight seasons in 2011, Howard has played for four different teams in the last six years.

Howard is an eight-time all-star and a three-time defensive player of the year.

Carmelo Anthony traded to Hawks in three-team deal, but not likely to stay

The stage has been set for Carmelo Anthony to hit free agency, as the 10-time All-Star was traded to the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday in a three-team deal, one that will lead to a subsequent buyout of his contract. ESPN first reported the news and noted that the Rockets are the favorites to sign him.

The full deal sends Dennis Schroder from the Hawks to the Thunder in exchange for Anthony and a protected first-round pick, and sends Mike Muscala from Atlanta to Philly. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot will go to the Thunder from Philly and Justin Anderson will go from the Sixers to the Hawks.

That's a complicated deal, but it ultimately frees Anthony up to choose a new team. He was set to make $27.9 million from the Thunder next season, but the Hawks are footing the bill to let him walk.

Anthony's skills have declined now that he's 34 years old. Last season, he averaged 16.2 points on 40.4 percent shooting, way down from the 22.4 points he averaged the season before with the Knicks.

Still, Anthony could help a team looking for a scoring punch and the Rockets would like some more help in their quest to take down the Warriors. If he signs there, he will join friend Chris Paul and the 2017-18 MVP, James Harden.

Houston has been the logical landing spot for Anthony ever since news broke that the Thunder were looking for a way out of his contract. If he doesn't go there, perhaps the Lakers would make sense. LeBron James is going to need a lot more help than the roster he currently has around him to make some noise in the crowded Western Conference.
