Early in the third quarter of the Wizards' 106-103 loss to the Miami Heat on Saturday night, Heat big man Hassan Whiteside accidentally tipped in a basket that counted for two Washington points. The score was credited to Marcin Gortat, who jogged down the court with a smile on his face.
Both players knew what happened based on their reactions. Gortat thought it was funny, while Whiteside stood there for a moment in frustration.

Well, it turns out that bucket gave Gortat his 7,000th career point, as noted by Sports Illustrated. And afterwards, Whiteside was able to joke about that on Twitter. When he saw the highlight put out by SI, Whiteside offered Gortat a funny congratulations:
@MGortat Congrats, you're welcome lol https://t.co/A511TeBPx6
