It was the most outrageous and unexpected turn of events.
A pair of free throws from John Wall put the Wizards up, 120-117, over the Cleveland Cavaliers with just three seconds left. It seemed all but over.
Enter LeBron James.
After missing an uncontested layup with four seconds left — which would have given Cleveland a 119-118 lead — James did the unthinkable. Kevin Love inbounded the ball after Wall’s free throws, launching down the court to James.
He took a couple steps, moved past the 3-point line and drilled the game-tying shot with Bradley Beal all over him. He was four for four from behind the arc in the final five minutes of regulation.
