Markieff Morris surprised many people, even his coach Scott Brooks, by not only playing in Game 2 against the Celtics on Tuesday but also playing very well. Morris was dealing with what he described as the worst sprained ankle of his life, yet he managed to drop 16 points and grab six rebounds to go along with three assists, two steals and a block.
Morris didn't just play, he was as good as normal. And that had many on Twitter cracking jokes about whether it was in fact Markieff on the court. He does have an identical twin brother who plays for the Detroit Pistons. Marcus Morris has even showed up to Wizards playoffs games and once in Markieff's jersey.
Hmmm... could it be possible? They do actually have matching tattoos and everything. But Marcus took to Twitter on Wednesday night to clear up what everyone already knew, that they did not pull off the switch.
I wouldn't play for another team unless I'm on that team. Smooth playing on a sprained ankle. I didn't expect anything less.— Marcus Morris (@MookMorris2) May 4, 2017
The stories was funny though !!!— Marcus Morris (@MookMorris2) May 4, 2017

The conspiracy theories about Marcus swapping in for Markieff are cracking me up. pic.twitter.com/9qemMOyt8O— Chase Hughes (@ChaseHughesNBCS) May 3, 2017
It didn't actually happen, but it's still hilarious.
