So it seems like we have a new contestant in the "Who Wants to lose to LeBron James in the Eastern Conference Finals" sweepstakes.
The Toronto Raptors sit just two and a half games back of the Cleveland Cavaliers for the No.1 seed in the conference. The duo of Kyle Lowry and DeMar Derozan have yet to make it out of the first round of the playoffs, but this season this team has inserted themselves as legit contenders.
Unfortunately for fans, the Raptors and Cavs won't meet again in the regular season as Toronto won two of the three regular season matchups by a combined six points.
Of the Raptors 18 remaining games, 12 of them will come against teams with a .500 record or better. The Cavaliers will face nine teams with a .500 record or better in their final 17 games.
Both teams have won three games in a row, but it looks like LeBron James and company are in better shape to close out the season as the top seed in the conference.
Which team trumps the other in the power rankings?
Locally, the Wizards are entering must-win territory as they are three and a half games back with just 17 games ahead of them before the season comes to a close. See where they fall as well as your other favorite teams in this week's NBA power rankings.
