It is difficult to tell just from the image, but there are some key changes that are worth noting in these new uniforms:
1.) Nike says that the jersey will be lighter and more flexible this season, something that the players should enjoy.
2.) The new jerseys will be partially made of recycled plastic bottles. Three cheers for how far recycling has come.
3.) Sweat will dry 15 percent faster and the logos will be seperately stitched.
4.) Teams can choose their default home uniform. Contrary to what we are used to, teams do not have to be stuck with the traditional white home jersey.
5.) Nike promises to create a jersey for each team that is inspired by the city it plays in.
All of these changes are very exciting. It is intersting to note that the Wizards wore the stars and stripes alternate jerseys throughout the playoffs this past season, which they could now designate as their home jersey.
