John Wall has been fired up about the Wizards not getting calls recently. In fact, after Washington's loss to the Jazz, he gave extensive comments about his frustrations with officiating.
So when a whistle went the Wizards' way Tuesday night against the Warriors, Wall was not about to listen to Golden State coach Steve Kerr complain.
The play happened at the end of the third quarter. When Kerr stepped forward to argue the call, he and Wall appeared to have a testy exchange. You can watch the video in the player above.
Asked after the game what was said, Kerr gave a humorous explanation.
"It's just I didn't think it was a foul and I just jumped in to argue the call. [Wall] said something like 'I haven't gotten a call all night' or something.
"And I said, 'You're just wearing cheap shoes and you slipped or something,' made a joke. Just making a stupid joke and he laughed. That was nothing."
Can't quite see Wall laughing from the broadcast's angle, but we'll take Kerr's word for it.
For those of you wondering, the Warriors still got to the line more than the Wizards, taking 27 free throws to Washington's 20. But the disparity was nowhere near as dramatic as the 32-13 gap in the Jazz game.
