With the Wizards set to sign free agent point guard Brandon Jennings, it appears veteran Trey Burke could be the casualty to clear a spot on their 15-man roster.
Burke did not travel with the Wizards to Toronto for their Wednesday night game against the Raptors. That’s according to Wizards Insider J. Michael, who cautions it could mean a variety of things.

Burke, 24, joined the Wizards over the offseason in a trade with the Utah Jazz. A four-year NBA veteran, Burke is averaging 4.9 points through 53 games with the Wizards.
The Wizards have to clear a roster spot to sign Jennings. Jennings was released by the New York Knicks on Monday and had to clear waivers through a 48-hour waiting period before agreeing to join Washington.
