When the Westgate Superbook released its NBA season odds on Tuesday, the big headline was setting the Warriors' season win total at 66.5. It's safe to say Vegas is bullish on Golden State, but oddsmakers also seem to like Washington.
Westgate Superbook sets the Wizards' season win total at 42.5.
That's a small improvement over their 41-41 record last year, but relative to projections for other teams, would leave the Wizards finishing the regular season 7th in the Eastern Conference standings. That means a return trip to the playoffs.
Here are the full projections, including odds to win each division, via ESPN.
You'll notice that Vegas likes the Wizards to finish second in the Southeast behind the Hawks, who lost center Al Horford and added Dwight Howard during the offseason.
Washington made a flurry of moves this summer, including locking up shooting guard Bradley Beal for 5 years and $127 million.
Other notable additions include Tomas Satoransky, Ian Mahinmi and Trey Burke. Gone from last year's team are Nene, Ramon Sessions, Garrett Temple and Jared Dudley, among others.
Will the new roster makeup be enough to get the Wizards back in the playoffs? Vegas is leaning 'yes'.
