Like Ron Burgundy in "Anchorman," John Wall called upon his teammates to assemble. Assemble they did.
Members of the Washington Wizards arrived in Los Angeles for an unofficial team minicamp this week, which the point guard recently told CSNwashington.com he helped organize. After two days of basketball at Loyola Marymount, according to a source, the players hit the beach Wednesday for workouts -- and a group photo.

From left to right and interspersed with non-players: Ramon Sessions, Garrett Temple, Jared Dudley, Bradley Beal, Kris Humphries, Wall, Drew Gooden, Kelly Oubre Jr., Otto Porter and Martell Webster.
Marcin Gortat, Nene, DeJuan Blair, Alan Anderson and Gary Neal did not attend. Gortat is with the Polish National team.
Herding 10 adults to anyone one spot at any time for any reason is a chore. We all know this. That probably goes triple for NBA players considering the lifestyle and opportunity. Therefore, props to Wall for the organizing and all for showing up. That includes Dudley, who isn't working out following back surgery, but still attended, and Temple, who was the subject of recent trade rumors.

Such scenarios are more for bonding than fine tuning. Sounds as if that's exactly what is happening. They're also getting their work in.
Sweatpants on the beach is some look. So is 10 teammates getting together for a basketball mini-camp during the summer.
Hopefully, the players chose an appropriate post-workout drink. As Ron Burgundy knows, on a hot day, milk would be a bad choice.
