Days after we learned of the Wizards' season opener and Christmas Day matchup against the Celtics, Washington's full 2017-18 regular season schedule has been released. They will begin on Oct. 18 at home against the Sixers and end their regular season on April 11, 2018 at the Orlando Magic.

The Wizards' first two games will be at home, the second on Oct. 20 against the Pistons. They then go on a very early road trip out west with games at the Nuggets, Lakers, Warriors and Kings.

Christmas in Boston isn't the only holiday the Wizards will play on. They also have a matinee matchup against the Bulls on New Year's Eve at home.

The season starts earlier than usual as part of the NBA's quest to limit back-to-backs and give players more rest in between games. As a result, the Wizards do not play their first back-to-back until Nov. 19 and 20, a full month into the season.

Washington will have plenty of nationally televised games in 2017-18, including their opener against Philadelphia. They play 18 games on either ESPN, TNT or ABC. That does not include NBATV games, which haven't been announced, and more could be added throughout the course of the year. Beginning Feb. 6, the Wizards play seven times on national TV in a 10-game stretch.

The end of the Wizards' regular season could be very difficult with some high profile games against elite teams. Among their final five games they will play at Houston, at Cleveland and at home against Boston. The Cavs and Celtics games will be on TNT. All four of the Wizards' games against their rival Boston Celtics will be nationally televised.
