Wizards' John Wall remembers young friend Miyah on second anniversary of her death

In a small gesture that no doubt means a lot, Wizards guard John Wall marked the two-year anniversary of Miyah Telemaque-Nelson's death.

Fans will remember the 6-year-old fan became close with Wall as she underwent treatment for pediatric cancer.

She passed away on December 8, 2014, the morning before the Wizards were set to face the Celtics. Washington won the game in overtime thanks to a herculean effort by Wall, who broke down sobbing for his "buddy" in his postgame interview.

Since her death, Wall has sponsored and participated in the Light the Night Walk benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. He's also stayed in touch with Miyah's family.
