The second week of workouts are underway with approximately six to have attended Monday’s workout at Verizon Center and workouts Tuesday and Wednesday.
It’s a fluid situation with additions and subtractions for the closed sessions not required to be opened via league policy because these technically are free-agent workouts and not predraft workouts. The Wizards don't have a first-round pick (swapped it with Phoenix for Markieff Morris) or a second-round pick (traded to Atlanta last year for Kelly Oubre). This is what CSNmidatlantic.com can confirm regarding the first two days:
Monday: Marshall Plumlee (Duke), Alex Caruso (Texas A&M), Tonye Jekiri (Miami), Shawn Long (Louisiana Lafayette).
All are bigs, a key area where the Wizards are looking to retool the roster with youth. There are as many as two other players who joined to make for 3-on-3 drills.
Tuesday: Dorian Finney-Smith (Florida), Tim Quarterman (LSU) and Mike Tobey (Virginia).
Finney-Smith was among the 19 interviewed by the Wizards at the Chicago combine in May. There likely will be an additional attendee or attendees to at least do 2-on-2 drills.
