A seven-game preseason schedule is set for the Wizards, who will open after wrapping up training camp Oct. 4 vs. the Miami Heat at Verizon Center.

That’ll be followed by a game two days later at the Philadelphia 76ers, Oct. 10 at the New York Knicks, Oct. 13 vs. the 76ers and Oct. 21 vs. the Toronto Raptors.

In the previous two years, the Wizards have played in Rio de Janiero and Montreal but there are no exhibitions outside the U.S. borders this time.

John Wall returns to his school to play the Sacramento Kings in Lexington, Ky., on Oct. 15 and they end vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers in Columbus, Ohio, on Oct. 18.

The regular season starts Oct. 27 with a pair of road games, starting at the Atlanta Hawks and Oct. 30 at the Memphis Grizzlies.
