The Wizards made their signings of Jaron Johnson, Toure' Murry, Ish Smith, Josh Harrellson and Jaleel Roberts for training camp that begins next week official, team president Ernie Grunfeld announced Friday.

Terms of the signings were not released, but CSN's J. Michael reported last month that all camp deals would be non-guaranteed. With the addition of these five players, the Wizards' training camp roster is now at the maximum of 20. Training camp begins on Sept. 29 in SECU Arena at Towson University but the roster will have to be trimmed to 15 by the start of the regular season.
The Wizards already have 15 guaranteed contracts which makes it unlikely that any of the invitees will earn a spot unless a move is made via trade or cutting a guaranteed contract. J. Michael reported that the Wizards are above the salary cap but below the luxury tax line which means they could cut (and pay) a player with a guaranteed deal and add a free agent with a minimum salary of less than $1 million. Roberts, a 7-foot center, is of particular interest after having played for Washington at Las Vegas summer league and worked out at a private camp this summer, but he's viewed as more of an option for 2016-17 when multiple roster spots come available.
