The Wizards have recalled rookie Sheldon Mac from the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA D-League just in time for their final regular season game.

Washington is set to close out their schedule at the Miami Heat as they prepare for the playoffs, and many of their main rotation players could either play less minutes than usual or sit out entirely. That could pave the way for Mac to get some run after playing three playoff games with Rio Grande Valley.

Mac averaged 19 points on 63.3 percent shooting in 29.5 minutes per game with the Vipers. In his last outing he dropped 33 points on the Los Angeles D-Fenders.

Mac, 24, was signed by the Wizards as an undrafted free agent out of training camp. He played college ball at the University of Miami.

Mac has appeared in 29 games for the Wizards this season with three starts.
