Wizards reportedly add another wing with latest signing

Small ball has officially come to Chinatown.

The Washington Wizards have agreed to terms with free agent swingman Alan Anderson on a 1-year, $4 million contract, according to Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski

CSN Wizards Insider J. Michael has confirmed the news.

The 6-foot-6 Anderson, 32, averaged 7.4 points and 2.8 rebounds in 74 games with the Brooklyn Nets last season. His six seasons in the NBA began with the 2005-06 season. After a four-year stretch of playing overseas and the D-League, he returned with Toronto during the 2011-12 campaign. Considered a positive defensive presence, Anderson also sank 35 percent of his 3-point attempts last season.

The one-year deal ensures the Wizards do not take on any additional money beyond this season.

Anderson is the latest wing option signed by Washington this off-season following Paul Pierce's exodus to the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Wizards acquired forward Jared Dudley from Milwaukee and signed off-guard Gary Neal. Anderson's addition likely ensures Dudley picks up most of his minutes as a needed stretch-4.

Washington will officially have 14 players on the 15-man roster once all deals become official.
