Wizards unveil new stars and stripes uniform to honor military

Wizards

The Wizards have unveiled a new stars and stripes alternate uniform for the 2016-17 season. The look was created specifically to honor America's military.

Forward Kelly Oubre, Jr. modeled the new uniforms in team photos.

The Wizards will rock these jerseys for six home games this year, each one honoring a specific branch of the armed forces. Here's the schedule of those games.

Nov. 11 vs Cleveland Cavaliers – National Guard
Dec. 14 vs Charlotte Hornets – Air Force
Jan. 18 vs Memphis Grizzlies – Marines
Feb. 10 vs Indiana Pacers – Army
Mar. 15 vs Dallas Mavericks – Coast Guard
Apr. 4 vs Charlotte Hornets – Navy

There will also be a special in-game ceremony for these military series games.

"For games designated as part of the military series, the USO will donate 100 tickets, courtesy of Leidos, to military families of the designated branch being honored at the game," according to Monumental Network. "Leidos will also support the 'Military Hero Recognition,' an on-court acknowledgement of a current or former military service member."

These uniforms are available for pre-order on shop.monumentalsportsnetwork.com. Let us know what you think of the look!
