The Orioles will be one of a number of teams chasing Milwaukees Zack Greinke. The Los Angeles Dodgers are supposedly eager to add either Ryan Dempster or Matt Garza from the Chicago Cubs. The Orioles have looked at them, too.Another pitcher the Orioles have scouted is Wandy Rodriguez. The Houston Astros have let it be known that Rodriguez is available. In the past, Rodriguez was thought to be on the move, but this time, Houston is supposedly ready to move him, an industry source said.Hes 32, and signed through next year with a 13 million contract and a team option for 2014 with a 2.5 million buyout. The left-hander has pitched only for the Astros in his eight-year career. Hes never been a star. Rodriguez has an 80-81 lifetime record with an ERA of 4.01.Houston, in full rebuild mode, is looking for younger, cheaper players. Some of the players who could entice Houston are pitchers Jake Arrieta, Tommy Hunter, both currently at Norfolk, or current big league starter Miguel Gonzalez as well as Norfolk reliever Miguel Socolovich. Brian Matusz and Chris Tillman and lower level minor leaguers could also be discussed.
