Few drafts have known who the No. 1 pick will be years before Adam Silver steps to the podium. This one is that with the generational talent in Victor Wembanyama. His physique and skillset combine into a product the league has never seen before since Kevin Durant.

The 7-foot-2 forward has a flashy perimeter game and the mobility to cover a variety of positions. He's played in the top French league for now three seasons and will be a prospect that is worth tanking for this year. - TB

Henderson's athleticism continues to jump off the screen as he gets by G-League defenders with ease off-the-dribble, both in transition and in the halfcourt. Though there is a wide gap when it comes to skill, the G-League isn't far off from the NBA purely in terms of the speed of the game and the length and athleticism of defenders. Henderson, though, is pairing those traits with a tight handle and an excellent feel for the game with his ball-handling and passing. If he can keep his shooting percentages in a respectable range, he will be a lock for the second overall pick. - CH

Questions about the Thompson brothers' shooting will follow them up until draft night. But when you look at the sheer athleticism and show-stopping ability of Amen Thompson, you can just tell he's a top-five pick.

His open-floor ball-handling will give Amen a leg up over Ausar but this draft will be telling for what NBA evaluators think of the Overtime Elite program. - TB

A gifted, explosive athlete with good size for an NBA wing, Thompson has a lot that you can't teach. He's also a fairly decent ball-handler in halfcourt isolation with the ability to create his own plays, at least against the quality of defenders Overtime Elite faces. And he's shown a knack for disruption on the defensive end with quick hands. One question will be his outside shooting, which teams will be watching as the season continues on. - CH

A thumb injury sidelined Cameron Whitmore for the first half of his collegiate season, but since he has come back it doesn't look like the explosive wing has missed a beat. His shooting legs are back underneath him and the 6-foot-7 forward is finally getting starters minutes. His shot has improved of late, going 41.2% from three over a four-game stretch to start the new year.

Whitmore made headlines when taking home MVP honors for Team USA at the Americas Championship before Villanova. He's on many scouts' radars because of it. - TB

Black is one of the most versatile players in this draft and also has one of the best feels for the game. He's a 6-foot-7 guard who impacts both ends of the floor, rebounds and makes plays for others with natural gifts as a passer. His 3-point percentage has dropped recently, but the potential for him to be an effective scorer is obvious. He gets past defenders easily and can finish above the rim. Josh Giddey and Dyson Daniels also had questions about their shooting but, like them, Black has many more strengths than weaknesses. - CH

Once considered a late-first rounder at the start of the season, Miller's comfortability in Nate Oats' system has him looking more and more like a lottery pick every day. - TB

Smith is one of the hardest players to evaluate in this draft because he has battled a knee injury, which has limited him to five games so far and his poor numbers in those games seem to be a direct reflection of him not being 100 percent. There has been talk that he will indeed return this season, so the sample size will grow. But for now, teams have little to go off of on the slashing guard whom many agree has top-5 talent. - CH

Whether he has the upside to become a star or not, Wallace looks like the type who will make winning plays at the next level. - CH

If he continues to play like he has so far, he's likely to draw a lot of comparisons to Jalen Williams and, if Williams keeps impressing with the Thunder, that could help Lewis' cause. - CH

With the Gamecocks, the 6-foot-9 forward provides the electricity and show-stopping ability seen on the travel circuit. If he can corral that into success in a half-court system, the sky could be the limit on his potential. -TB

A lanky 7-footer, Ware could be aided by the fact the top of the draft is thin on big men outside of Wembanyama. Ware is a solid rim-protector whose numbers look a lot better when you extrapolate them out to per-40 minutes, as he's mostly coming off the bench for the Ducks. He seems like the type that will go somewhere between 10 and 20 to a team that is simply in need of shot-blocking. - CH

Usually, when guys know they are locks for the first round, they make the leap, so we'll see. - CH
