Bradley Beal wasn't deferring in the first half against the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night but still managed to move up the Wizards' all-time assists leaderboard.
Beal dished out six assists in the first half to go with his efficient 14 points on 4-5 shooting. He needed five to tie Frank Johnson for seventh all-time, and managed to get six just in the first half alone.
His 6.7 APG have him in the top-20 leaguewide this season. With an added emphasis on getting his teammates involved this year, Beal was able to find one teammate in particular a few times against the Hornets.
Davis Bertans was the recipient of a couple Beal assists, shooting from long range before the defense could get set. He scored 15 points on 5-7 shooting from deep off the bench in the first half.
The latest Beal milestone comes less than a week after becoming just the fifth Wizard to score 10,000 points for the team. He's averaging 30.3 PPG, 6.7 APG, 4.7 RPG and shooting at a 46.9% clip this year.
