Bradley Beal took the court for pregame warmups Tuesday wearing a pair of Jordans, nothing unusual for the athlete who signed with the shoe brand just before the season began.
However, the Wizards’ shooting guard added a personal touch this time, writing the nicknames of his sons Bradley II (better known as Deuce) and Braylon on the back as “II” and “Bray-Bray,” respectively.
Beal also cited the Bible verse Philippians 4:13 on the side of his right shoe. The verse reads, “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.”
His shoes are the Jordan React Elevations, which were originally released back in July. The sneakers are currently going for $120 on the Nike website.
The Wizards were preparing to host the Chicago Bulls, with both teams looking to avoid getting off to an 0-4 start to the 2020-21 season. Beal kept the shoes on for the game as well.
