Heading into his eighth NBA season, Bradly Beal is no stranger to trade rumors. This off-season alone his name has been associated with Boston, Miami and a few California teams.
In an exclusive interview with NBC Sports Washington's Chris Miller on Wizards Talk podcast, Tommy Sheppard, Wizards interim president of basketball operations, said that Beal isn't flustered by seeing his name in trade rumor headlines.

"Brad is a pro’s pro. He's seen his name before," Sheppard said. "Just like all these players do in the NBA. It's much funner to talk about rumors than it is about fact."
In addition to being the Wizards leader in the box score, his ability to relate to younger members of the team makes him a superstar in the eyes of the organization, said Sheppard.
"He remembers his rookie year and how hard it was. So, now he loves the idea of taking these guys under his wing ... Bradley leads in so many different ways," he said. "By example, vocal, supportive, and he is always, constantly, monitoring our team. That is somebody that 'hey we are going to build around'."
Sheppard teases John Wall and Beal about shifting from being a young guy to a role model, "these guys played you on video games when they were little kids."
During summer league games, Beal attends not as a fan, but to see what kind of teammate these young players will be.
In fact, Sheppard said that rookie, Rui Hachimura reminded him of Beal during his rookie season.
