Bertans listed as week-to-week

The Wizards will be without Davis Bertans for, at least, the remainder of this week as he recovers from a left ankle sprain. Bertans suffered the injury in Monday’s game against the Hawks.

“He’s probably week-to-week,” coach Wes Unseld Jr. said before Wednesday’s game against the Raptors. “I don’t foresee him playing this week. He, in my opinion, didn’t have as much swelling as I anticipated. But he did have some discoloration. So he’s going to be a few days.”

Bertans has played in seven games this season and has averaged 6.1 points per game with 1.7 rebounds. His 3-point shooting is off to a slow start, as he’s made just 33.3% of his 3-point attempts so far this season.

Washington added a host of shooters and depth to the roster over the offseason, which has created more competition on the roster from top to bottom. In Bertans’ place, they could rely more on rookie Corey Kispert to take on a bigger role in the rotation.
