The Wizards are off to a strong start to the 2021-22 season. After beating the Boston Celtics 116-107 on Wednesday, Washington moved to 3-1 to earn its best record through four games in four years.

Former Washington Football tight end Rick “Doc” Walker was among those impressed with the play of the local NBA squad, chiming in on Twitter with a new nickname for the Wizards.

As the Washington Football Team navigates a 2-5 start as well as the repercussions of a 10-month investigation into its office culture, the Wizards and Capitals (4-0-3) have offered D.C. fans a bit of a reprieve in the early goings of their respective seasons.

Looking forward to next spring when the D.C. Baseball Club gets going.
