There may not be any fans in attendance, but Paul Pierce found a way to watch the Celtics anyway.
Pierce, a 19-year NBA veteran who played for four teams including the Wizards, is no longer playing but still takes the time to watch the team he spent most of his career with.

Pierce was one of many Celtics fans who filled a 17-foot video board around the court in Orlando. He’s also not the only former player to join. Chris Bosh joined the virtual crowd watching LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Los Angeles Clippers on the opening night of the NBA restart.

It’s not the same atmosphere when arenas aren’t filled to the brim with screaming fans, but the NBA is trying to find a way to bring the game closer to the fans. Count Pierce and Bosh among those who are willing to give it a chance.
