The Wizards' 2021-22 season has come to an end without a playoff or play-in tournament berth, which means it's time to look toward the NBA Draft and draft lottery.

With a 35-47 record, the Wizards finished 12th in the East behind the New York Knicks. Here's a look at their lottery odds and what needs to happen for Washington's odds to improve before the ping pong balls are drawn.

Can the Wizards' lottery odds improve?

The only way for the Wizards' lottery odds to improve is if the Spurs win the No. 8 seed Western Conference play-in tournament. San Antonio owns the ninth-best odds as the West's No. 10 seed entering postseason play. If the Spurs make it out of the play-in, the Wizards will move up to ninth in the lottery standings. If the Spurs lose, Washington stays at No. 10. 

What are the Wizards' draft needs?

After an active trade deadline that saw Washington trade away two of its top point guards in Spencer Dinwiddie and Aaron Holiday, the Wizards are in dire need of a floor general. 

Luckily for them, there are plenty of talented point guards who could fit with the Wizards, including Kentucky's Tyty Washington and Tennessee's Kennedy Chandler.
