How to watch Wizards try to stay undefeated in 2021 vs. 76ers

The Wizards began the season 0-5, but that was literally a year ago. Sorry, bad joke.

But, since the calendar turned to 2021, the team has righted the ship as is undefeated. After taking down the Timberwolves, the Wizards pulled off an upset win over the Brooklyn Nets to improve to 2-5.

Now, Washington will travel to Philadelphia to take on the 76ers for the second time this season. The two teams battled in the season opener, with the 76ers picking up a 113-107 win.

Can Washington avenge the early loss and push the winning streak to three games? Here's everything you need to know:

- In a win over the Nets, Washington displayed that its offense truly has the firepower to go toe-to-toe with a championship contender like Brooklyn. Moreso, the team has confidence that shows they are not going to back down from any challenge. With a matchup against another Eastern Conference contender in Philadelphia, they'll need that same mentality.

- Russell Westbrook's triple-double streak came to an end on Sunday, as he was unable to become the first player in NBA history to put up a triple-double in each of the first five games of the season. 24 points, five rebounds and 10 assists is nothing to laugh at, though, and now the point guard will have a chance to start a new streak against the 76ers.

- Speaking of Philadelphia, it will once again be about limiting Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid if Washington wants to come out victorious. Simmons nearly had a triple-double in the first matchup, while Embiid scored 29 points and added 14 rebounds.

Thomas Bryant, C, Wizards (17.9 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 1.7 apg): All eyes are on Westbrook and Beal, but Bryant has quietly been one of the best players for Washington early in the season. Looking more polished each time out, Thomas has been strong on both sides of the court with an efficient offensive output and improved defense.

Shake Milton, G, 76ers (12.3 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 2.3 apg): Milton emerged late last season and has continued to play well in the early stages of this campaign. A strong rotation piece for Philadelphia, he gives the team another scoring option not named Simmons or Embiid. His best scoring total (19 points) came on opening night against the Wizards.

Tune in at 6 PM to NBC Sports Washington on Wednesday for complete coverage of the Wizards' next game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
