Just when it seemed NBA free agency madness had died down, Isaiah Thomas re-ignited the Wizards fan base with a simple recruitment tweet.

Jamal Crawford is an unrestricted free agent and by the looks of his response to Thomas' tweet, it seems he's on board to team up in Washington.

Crawford and Thomas have been inseparable for over a decade now. Both from the Seattle area, Thomas would go to Crawford's high school games and as Thomas became a star himself, they'd play pickup together on the University of Washington campus.

Crawford watched over Thomas in 2006, when he lived away from home attending an all-boys prep school in Connecticut. Crawford played for the Knicks at the time.

Crawford and Thomas still talk every day and work out together in the offseason.

The Wizards showed interest in Crawford in 2016, 2017 and 2018 but nothing ever came of it. Perhaps fourth time's the charm for signing the three-time Sixth Man of the Year winner.
