The Wizards were without a center Tuesday night and suffered their third straight loss to the Magic, so Jason Smith made it known he's ready to come back and give Scott Brooks some minutes at the five.

"I'm ready to go, Tommy [Sheppard]!" Smith said on Wizards Postgame Live.

Washington was already without Ian Mahinmi (Achillies) and Moe Wagner (ankle) going into the game, and then the news broke that Thomas Bryant would miss at least three weeks with a stress reaction in his right foot.

The Wizards had to start Rui Hachimura at center, a spot he only played for 26 possessions before Tuesday. The rookie finished with 15 points, six rebounds and four assists, but the Wizards got beat up on the glass without a true center and couldn't stop the 29th-ranked offense in the NBA.

Smith last played for the Pelicans a season ago, only appearing in two games after he was traded from the Wizards to the Bucks and then to New Orleans. He spent a little over two seasons with the Wizards and averaged 4.8 points and 2.9 rebounds as a reliable presence off the bench.

The Wizards will probably get Wagner back soon, so they probably don't need to bring Smith back. But hey, he's ready and willing.
