Today, Sunday, Feb. 17, is Michael Jordan's 56th birthday. To commemorate one of the best basketball has ever seen, we've compiled the five best games during his two seasons in Washington.
Dec. 29, 2001 vs. Charlotte
The first of Michael Jordan's most memorable games as a Wizard was the Dec. 29th matchup against the Hornets. During that game, Jordan posted 51 points, the 10th-most points scored in a single game during his entire career. Jordan also notched 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals during this game.
Dec. 31, 2001 vs. New Jersey
Jordan followed up that 51-point performance only two days later when Washington took on New Jersey. Jordan posted 45 points with 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals.
Feb. 21, 2003 vs. New Jersey
In February of 2003 during Jordan's final season and just four days after his 40th birthday, Jordan scored 43 points, got 10 rebounds and recorded 4 steals. He was showing no signs of slowing down during his final season.
Jan. 4, 2003 vs. Indiana
Another one of Jordan's most memorable games during his time in Washington shortly after New Year’s Day 2003 when he scored 41 points with an impressive 12 rebounds and 3 steals.
Jan. 26, 2002 vs. Phoenix
Last but not least, Jordan's 2002 game vs. Phoenix notched another 41 points. During that game, Jordan recorded seven assists and two steals.
