Washington Wizards forward Markieff Morris has been fined by the NBA for pulling the shorts of Portland Trail Blazers guard Seth Curry during their contest this past Monday.
Morris was docked $15,000 for "unsportsmanlike conduct." The decision, made by NBA vice president of basketball relations Kiki VanDeWeghe, was announced on Wednesday afternoon.
This incident occurred during the final play of regulation during the Wizards' overtime win in Portland on Monday. The Trail Blazers were attempting to score the game-winning basket, when Morris, who was not in the game at the time reached onto the court and tugged on the shorts of Curry.
Feeling the pull, Curry vehemently raised his arms in exasperation, but there was no call from the officials during the game.
After a missed attempt on the play, the Wizards and Trail Blazers went to overtime. Morris then hit two big three-pointers that helped carry Washington to the 125-124 victory.
Following the announcement of the fine, Morris took to social media to respond.
