New John Wall video has Wizards fans analyzing the point guard's jump shot

It's been 638 days since Wizards point guard John Wall has played an NBA game, which is why when he posts an offseason workout video fans pay close attention.

Wednesday evening, Wall shared a series of clips on Instagram from a private workout in Miami, which featured some crisp ball-handling and a patented left-handed slam. However, it's his stepback jumpshot that has drawn the interest of many.

Wall's shot mechanics have always been a topic of discussion among basketball enthusiasts, with many people citing a lack of fluidity, elevation, and shot consistency as the main issues.

“Main thing for me is using speed and shooting on the way up,” Wall said while discussing his shot mechanics back in 2013. “I used to shoot on the way down and if you want to become a better shooter, it doesn’t work that way.”

In this recent video Wall seems to show a tad more speed getting the ball up from his shooting pocket, as well as his release speed (removing his guide hand).

Here's what some fans think.

Wall continues to add to his offseason highlight film, and for the organization, as well as fans, hopefully it translates to the court next season.
