The NBA season is almost back because Bradley Beal said so. Tuesday afternoon, the Washington Wizards Twitter account released footage from day five of training camp, and Beal threw down a nasty poster jam over team trainer, Alex McLean during a scrimmage.
Take a look.
The play came compliments of an Anzejs Pasecniks' bounce pass to Beal as he cut backdoor. Beal handled the rest from there.
The team erupted in celebration after the play, including Rui Hachimura who rushed over and started flexing his muscles – Beal followed suit.
McLean took to social media to give Beal his kudos.
"It was my time. See you tomorrow @bradbeal3 you are the better man today."
However, that's not the only message he had for two-time All-Star.
"I'll get him back," McLean told NBC Sports Washington.
Head coach Scott Brooks told reporters today was the team's first day scrimmaging five-on-five. While he admitted the scrimmage was "a little sloppy at times," this play was sure to put a smile on the coach's face (or a scowl – both of which are appropriate reactions in this situation).
Washington's first preseason game is just five days away as they travel to the Barclays Center to take on the Brooklyn Nets at 6 p.m. That game can be watched on NBC Sports Washington.
