SEE IT: Westbrook enters Capital One for 1st time as a Wizard

Wizards

New Wizards point guard Russell Westbrook got his first glimpse of his new home arena on Friday.

But first, around the same time the team's 2020-2021 first-half season schedule was released, Westbrook was captured on camera visiting the Medstar Wizards Performance Center, while wearing his mask and following CDC guidelines, of course.

Then, Westbrook took in the scenes at Capital One Arena with an image of him sporting the same No. 4 he wore during his high school days displayed on the big screen.

Come Washington's season opener on Dec. 23 against Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers, Westbrook's full-throttle tenacity and drive will soon give visiting defenses nightmares when they come to Capital One Arena this season.

Before he left, Westbrook left the following message for his new fan base.

"Wizards fans, what's up? Russell Westbrook here," he said. "Can't wait to get in here and get to it. Appreciate you guys. Looking forward to a great season. Let's go Wizards."

Later in the evening, he even took time to pose for a photo with a fan outside the arena.

The Brodie appears to be fitting in just fine in DC.
