Capitals mascot Slapshot, the Wizards' G-Wiz and the Mystics' Pax have teamed up with Hope for Henry through Monumental Sports & Entertainment's "social impact" initiative to bring fun to sick children this month.
Hope for Henry provides entertaining programs for sick children in hospitals and the mascots are bringing a little fun into their day by helping with fan donations.
Since the coronavirus pandemic disallowed two Hope for Henry-centric events to go on at Capital One Arena, MSE is asking for fans to donate by texting "HENRY" to 44-321 or by donating a toy through Hope for Henry's Amazon wish list.
Hey @Capitals fans, more than ever, sick children need hope, optimism and motivation. @hopeforhenry is in the hospital every day--and YOU can help!— MSE Foundation (@MSEFndn) March 25, 2020
