Troy Brown Jr. dropped a career-high 24 points on Sunday in the Washington Wizards' 95-90 win over the Denver Nuggets.
Brown shot nine-of-16 from the floor with seven rebounds and a steal. His 24 points were the most for a Wizards rookie since Bradley Beal in 2013.
After the game, Brown took to Twitter to dedicate the game to Nipsey Hussle, the Los Angeles rapper who was shot and killed in South L.A.'s Hyde Park on Sunday.

Today was for u my guy... yo music kept my head high during times when I wanted to give up... true inspiration... Rest In Peace to a real one 🙏🏾
Nipsey Hussle, whose real name was Ermias Davidson Asghedom, died at the age of 33 after being shot multiple times in the parking lot of the clothing store he owned.
Beal also expressed his outrage about the death of Asghedom post-game.
I’m real live hurt by this !!

The rapper's last message on Twitter read: "Having strong enemies is a blessing."
Two other men were shot in the incident at Marathon Clothing, and a suspect remained at large.
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti confirmed the news on Sunday night, saying: "Our hearts are with the loved ones of Nipsey Hussle and everyone touched by this awful tragedy. L.A. is hurt deeply each time a young life is lost to senseless gun violence. My Crisis Response Team is assisting the families coping with shock and grief."
Tributes to the Grammy-nominated musician, who was in a relationship with actress Lauren London, poured in across social media from athletes and entertainers alike. The two had a son together, and Asghedom had a daughter from a previous relationship. London has made no public statement as of midnight Sunday.
