WATCH: Davis Bertans makes six straight threes vs Sixers

In a season with plenty of lows and only a few highs, Davis Bertans has been a very pleasant surprise for the Wizards this season.

Thursday night against the Sixers, Bertans got insanely hot from three-point land in the first half. He hit six straight from three and the led a 29-11 run by the Wizards that gave them a 10-point lead over one of the best teams in the East.

He scored 22 points in just 17 minutes of play and was single-handily roasting a top-three defense in the NBA.

The Wizards acquired him from the Spurs using a trade exception, meaning all they gave the Spurs in return for his services was salary cap relief.

Watching the game after undergoing finger surgery, Jordan McRae was loving the show Bertans was putting on against Philly.

Roughly 20 games in, he's proved to be the Wizards' second-best player behind Bradley Beal.

He's unfortunately a free agent after this season, so if the Wizards want to retain his sharp-shooting prowess they'll have to pay a decent sum with a relatively weak free-agent class.
