Deni Avdija's first NBA basket was a 3-pointer.
The ninth pick in the 2020 NBA Draft made his first shot attempt in his first piece of NBA action in the Wizards' preseason against the Nets on Sunday, cashing in on this pretty cross-court assist from new acquisition Raul Neto.
With a stroke like that, Avdija will surely get lots of looks from beyond the arc this season.
Neto will provide relief off the bench for the recently acquired Russell Westbrook as a sparkplug who can find open shooters. This time around, Avdjia found himself open on the wing and was ready to let it fly without hesitation.
Avdija later showed off some impressive vision with a bounce pass to assist Moe Wagner, who slammed it home halfway through the first quarter.
The Wizards first game action of the 2020-2021 season had many key players out resting as this quick turnaround offseason calls for caution. Westbrook, Bradley Beal, and the newly extended Davis Bertans were among those to sit out of Sunday's action in Brooklyn.
