With MSNBC's Steve Kornacki helping to sort out the NFL's playoff picture on Sunday Night Football this week, CNN's Wolf Blitzer and John King joined in on the sports fun to help the Wizards announce the first half of their 2020-21 season schedule.
Following a contentious election year, seeing Blitzer and King apply their broadcast expertise to the sports realm is quite the treat. Using political terms like the "incumbents" when referring to the last two Eastern Conference champions playing in Florida with the Miami Heat and Tampa Bay (Toronto) Raptors, King eloquently showed the line of verbiage between sports and politics can be quite thin.

As the NBA navigates what looks to be a challenging 72-game season, though, Washington will look to earn some battleground victories with their new star, Russell Westbrook.
