Your time is (maybe) now.

The Capital City Go-Go, newly formed G-League affiliate of the Washington Wizards, announced the specifics of their local player tryout. According to a press release, the tryout will take place at the Saint Elizabeths East Sports & Entertainment Arena on Saturday, September 15.

This is a neat feature of the G-League, where local players have the chance to run through drills in front of Go-Go scouts. Up to five players have the chance to earn an invitation to the team's training camp next month.

Registration opens today, and players who are interested should follow the steps at this link. Registration closes next Wednesday, September 12.

There is a fee of $150, so you probably only want to attend if you have serious aspirations of playing (or just had a big pay day and are looking for a fun, unique afternoon). On the plus side, anyone trying out will receive a ticket to one home game during the upcoming season.

So, if you've always dominated your buddies when playing pickup, or have lifelong dreams of playing professional basketball, or just really want to see what it's like to wear a Go-Go jersey, your opportunity is here. Good luck!
