The Wizards have accomplished their No. 1 goal for this year's free agent period by re-signing center Thomas Bryant NBC Sports Washington has confirmed. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski first reported the news.

Bryant, 21, will make $25 million over three years with the Wizards. They team signaled their interest in re-signing him last week when they gave him a qualifying offer to make him a restricted free agent.

Bryant now returns to Washington to continue his development after a breakout 2018-19 season. He averaged 10.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in his first year with the Wizards. 

Bryant joined the Wizards last summer off waivers from the Los Angeles Lakers. Now that they have him signed, the Wizards can focus on bringing back point guard Tomas Satoransky.
