Rui Hachimura earns All-Rookie Second Team honors


Washington Wizards forward Rui Hachimura has just made Wizards history after being named to the 2019-20 NBA All-Rookie Second Team, the NBA announced Tuesday evening.

Hachimura is the first Wizards player to be named NBA All-Rookie Second Team since Jarvis Hayes in 2003-04. Hachimura is also the fifth player in franchise history to make the team.

Hachimura averaged 13.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in his debut season out of Gonzaga University. He led all rookies in rebounds per game and while finishing fifth in scoring among rookies this season.

Hachimura joins Terence Davis (Toronto), PJ Washington (Charlotte), Tyler Herro (Miami) and Coby White (Chicago) on the 2019-20 All-Rookie Second Team.
