Wings waived G Mai Yamamoto.
Yamamoto agreed to a contract with the Wings in February but faced long odds to make the final roster. The 5-foot-4 guard most recently played for the Toyota Antelopes, whom the Wings beat in their exhibition finale on Saturday. Yamamoto’s exit likely means JJ Quinerly’s chances of making the final roster are pretty high.
