SANTA CLARA -- The 49ers' last day of mandatory media access before their game Saturday against the New Orleans Saints was closed to the local media. The 49ers said the team went straight from their walk-through practice Thursday, which is not required to be open to the media, into their "team" work portion of practice, which can also be closed. Therefore, there is no pre-practice injury update. The 49ers do not appear to have any question marks, anyway.Tight end Delanie Walker has not been cleared to play after sustaining a fractured jaw on Dec. 24. His next examination is Monday, which means he is out for Saturday's game. Every other player on the 49ers' 53-man roster is expected to be available. The 2011 season NFL media policy states:
"Through the regular season and playoffs, daily practice (Monday through Friday) must be open to local media (those who regularly cover the team) for at least the first 30 minutes or until the start of 'team' work."
