Manny Ramirez is in action in Sacramento for the first time since joining the River Cats as he prepares to join the A's.
Ramirez, batting third as the designated hitter, had a familiar face in front of him; Brandon Inge hit second and started at third base for Sacramento
Ramirez's first at-bat came in the first inning with Eric Sogard on first base and one away (Inge lined out to center field).

Facing Reno Aces starting pitcher Charles Brewer, who has a 1-4 record and 7.18 ERA in the Pacific Coast League, Ramirez knocked the 3-2 pitch into center field, advancing Sogard to third.
Sogard would score on Chris Carter's sacrifice fly.
Ramirez is eligible to be activated on May 30, but the A's have not committed to the date.
