Kings' Buddy Hield drops 45 points in Skinz League game in Oklahoma

There are plenty of Kings players that either stayed in Sacramento or have already come back to work on their game with the trainers and coaching staff. Buddy Hield is not one of those players.

Hield has posted workout videos, both of him shooting hoops and grinding in the weight room in Texas. On Wednesday evening, he even showed up and played a game in the Skinz League in Oklahoma.

According to Lee Benson of News 9 in Oklahoma City, Hield dropped in 13 3-pointers on his way to 45 points. The video shows Hield looking in game shape while sporting a beard.

The Kings’ shooting guard isn’t the only NBA player to suit up in the Skinz League. Trae Young, another former Oklahoma Sooner and current star guard for the Atlanta Hawks, went for 43 points earlier this month.

While it’s good to see Hield getting up shots, it should be noted that fans are in attendance during the games and a quick scan of the crowd shows no one wearing a mask, outside of Hield, who had one on during warmups.

Hield has until June 21 to report to Sacramento and the NBA will begin coronavirus testing on June 22 with the hopes of restarting the league on July 30th in Orlando.
