New Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie reportedly flew to Denver Tuesday to interview the Broncos' offensive and defensive coordinators as candidates for Oakland's head coaching position.

It was reported Monday that the Raiders had sought and received permission from Denver to speak with the two coaches -- offensive coordinator Mike McCoy and defensive coordinator Dennis Allen.

Tuesday afternoon Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times published the news about McKenzie's trip during a chat, then followed up by posting the following message on his Twitter feed:

According to the Denver Post, McCoy spent Monday in South Florida interviewing with the Dolphins for Miami's head coaching job while Allen interviewed with the Rams last Thursday.

McCoy is rumored to be a candidate for the head coaching vacancy in Tampa as well.

Allen previously coached for the New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons, Tulsa University and his alma mater, Texas A&M University. He was hired by Denver to run the defense in January 2011.

McCoy, a Novato native, has been Denver's O-coordinator since 2009. He started his college career as a quarterback for the legendary George Allen at Long Beach State before transferring to Utah.

His time with the Utes ended in dramatic fashion when he threw a game winning, 5-yard touchdown pass to Kevin Dyson in the final minute to give Utah a 16-13 win against Arizona in the 1994 Freedom Bowl.
