CSNNE.comVANCOUVERHere are five thoughts from the third period with the Bruins taking the Vancouver Canucks by a 3-1 score at Rogers Arena after 60 minutes of playoff-level action.1)Three shots on net for Rich Peverley and Chris Kelly, but not a ton of offensive possession or influence on the game tonight. Looked a few times like each guy didnt know where the other was going to be, so there may be some transition time for each of them to gel.2)Tough night for Gregory Campbell. No shots on net in 10 minutes and then takes a holding penalty on Victor Oreskovich late in the third period of a tied 1-1 hockey game. 3)Hear some complaints via twitter that tonight was a boring hockey game from Vancouvers perspective. Not so much at this address. That was a playoff level game with intensity, tough defense, hard-hitting and good goaltending. Just a terrific hockey game on both sides.4)Milan Lucic is simply a big game player. He scores the goal in his hometown after an unforgettable week, and continues to write an amazing career book about his performances in big games.5)David Krejci created the Milan Lucic goal, and carried a player on his back to get things going. It really looks like the Czech Republic center is primed and ready for the playoffs.
